Terms of service

1. About skrhyb and these terms
skrhyb is an online marketplace that helps customers find, compare, negotiate and manage services, and helps businesses offer them. These terms apply between you and the company below. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account. Household administrators may add children as profiles; children cannot make purchases or enter contracts.
- Keep your login details secure. Administrators of businesses and the platform must use multi-factor authentication where we require it.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Who you contract with
When you agree a service with a business, your contract for that service is with the business, not with skrhyb. The business is responsible for performing the service. skrhyb provides the platform, payment collection on the business's behalf, and complaint handling as described below.
The basket is a convenience: each item you submit becomes a separate request to a separate business, with its own negotiation, contract, payment and cancellation terms. Submitting several items together does not create one combined contract.
4. Quotes, negotiation and confirmation
- Offers and counteroffers expire if not answered. A request is only binding once the business has accepted it and you have reviewed and confirmed the final terms and completed payment.
- Before you confirm we show the price, billing frequency, notice period, any minimum term and any exit fee.
- A subscription becomes active only when our payment provider confirms payment.
5. Prices, billing and renewals
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT the business charges. Customers do not pay a skrhyb platform fee; businesses pay a plan fee and any commission published on our pricing page (currently none).
- Recurring services are billed per the billing explanation shown at confirmation (e.g. weekly visits are averaged to a monthly charge: price × 52 ÷ 12). We remind you before renewals.
- Material changes to price, frequency or terms are proposals: you are told in advance, price increases cannot take effect for at least 30 days, and nothing changes unless you accept. If you don't accept, you may end the subscription under its normal terms.
- If a payment fails we retry and notify you; visits may be suspended until payment is made. We never cancel a subscription automatically without notice.
- Referral credit is promotional, has no cash value, is applied automatically to eligible payments and may be withdrawn if obtained through abuse (e.g. self-referral).
6. Cancellation and your consumer rights
- You can cancel a subscription in your account. It ends after the notice period shown, or at the end of any minimum term unless you choose to pay a stated exit fee.
- Where the law gives you a cancellation (cooling-off) period for contracts made online, the business's terms explain how it applies, including what you may owe for services already provided at your request.
- Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. If they aren't, you may be entitled to repeat performance or a price reduction.
7. Reviews
Only customers who received a completed service can leave a verified review. Reviews must be honest and lawful. Businesses can respond to and report reviews but cannot remove them; we moderate reported reviews against our policy and do not accept payment to change, suppress or prioritise reviews.
8. Rankings, sponsored placements and verification
Organic rankings use the factors explained on how ranking works. Sponsored placements are labelled and never change organic ratings. Verification badges mean we have checked the listed documents; they are not a guarantee of service quality (what badges mean).
9. Businesses using skrhyb
- Businesses must hold the registrations, insurance, qualifications and safeguarding checks required for their services and keep verification documents current.
- Plan fees and any commission are shown on pricing before you subscribe. Plans renew monthly or annually as chosen until cancelled; unpaid plans lapse after 14 days.
- Businesses must honour agreed prices and terms, describe services accurately, and not offer or request reviews in exchange for incentives.
- Capacity offers below your configured profitability limits require your explicit approval; skrhyb's suggestions are recommendations only.
Referral programmes
- Business referrals are run and funded by skrhyb. A referred business may receive a discount on its first paid plan month, and the referring business earns skrhyb plan credit once the referred business's first plan payment is confirmed. Limits and amounts are shown on the referrals page.
- Customer referral offers are each business's own promotion, set and funded by that business. A referred friend receives the offer on their first booking with that business, and the referrer receives the same amount off their next renewal with it, once the friend's first payment is confirmed.
- Rewards are given only after confirmed payments. Self-referrals, referrals between accounts of the same person or household, and misuse don't qualify, and we may withhold or reverse rewards obtained that way.
- skrhyb plan credit has no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged, and can only be used on skrhyb plan fees.
- We may change, pause or end the referral programmes at any time; rewards already earned are kept.
10. Acceptable use
Don't misuse skrhyb: no fraud, fake accounts or reviews, harassment, scraping, attempts to bypass security, or taking payments for skrhyb-arranged services outside the platform to avoid fees.
11. Complaints and disputes
Raise problems with the business first using messages. If unresolved, open a complaint in your account; we aim to respond within 5 working days and may escalate. You can also contact us through the Support centre. You may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme or the courts of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland if you live there).
12. Our liability
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not liable for the performance of services by businesses (they are), or for losses that were not foreseeable. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes and suspension
We may update these terms; we'll give notice of material changes. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, with reasons and a way to appeal.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you can also rely on the mandatory laws of, and bring claims in, your home nation.
